Why did you choose NETS over another engineering school? Over another major?
I knew I was interested in the Internet more than the hardware side, it was exactly the parts of computer science I was most interested in and being on the front edge was awesome.
How did you become interested in this stuff?
In 7th grade I got a PSP pal and learned how to program my own software on it, and eventually upload it online. After that I got interested in web programming, creating my own message board in 8th grade.
How would you describe the program to your friends and family who may not be familiar with it?
I describe it different ways for different people, for math people it's everything computer science related that ties in with graphing math. To less tech savvy people it's the Internet-y, network-y branch of computer science, the branch that uses Google and Facebook as case studies.
